Personal Development

At Irthlingborough Junior School, we recognise the important role we get to play in helping shape the minds of young people, not only by imparting knowledge each and every day, but by instilling a sense of purpose and pride in our pupils.

Within our school, we believe firmly and voice proudly that no score on a test can show the depth of your character, the beauty of your kindness, the joy of your humour, or the extent of your goodness. Instead, we seek to model this daily in the way we act around one another, the way we speak to one another and the way we think about one another.

Fundamentally, it is our hope that, by placing great importance on our values and on our community, we may not only inspire incredible readers, writers, mathematicians and more, but that we may also help to develop our pupils as well-rounded individuals – who are provided with the opportunities to grow every day in every way.
